Bio

Lydia Roy is a contemporary painter based in Tkaronto, Canada but originally from Québec. She is currently in her final year at OCAD University to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Her practice evolves around what she describes as an exploration of self, a discovery of the mind through creation and a desire to gain understanding of the human condition through artistic practice. In the past year, Lydia had the opportunity to work on her thesis project, what it means to be brave, which discussed themes of feminism, introspection, vulnerability, strength and connection.
